Rise & Grind - Emergency Plan

Today we want to know how well prepared you are for an emergency situation. Unfortunately, 2020 has shown us that just about anything can happen...and at any time. From fires to hurricanes and everything in-between, it's always good to have a plan in place. Today we have a few tips to bring some peace of mind and helpful tips in this chaotic world.
An insurance policy number is one of those things that normally takes an hour to track down (without an emergency!). Having vital information and documents within arms reach can be a literal lifesaver. Have this information ready to go in an easy-to-grab binder in case of evacuation or an emergency.
It can be overwhelming and scary to put together an emergency supply, but keep it simple, it could come in handy one day. Follow our basic list to get started. Think about your family's specific needs and what you really NEED to get through a day.
Feeling overwhelmed and not sure where to start? These three things can easily be done after work today to get you started.
One of the most common cited regrets is leaving behind photos during a natural disaster and never seeing them again. Backing up photos to a reputable website, like Dropbox or Google grants you access to your photos from any computer, not just your own.  This way, if you really can't grab that desktop computer, you at least have your photos safe and sound.
If you don't have a plan or emergency supply begun, don't worry. Getting started can be the hardest part, but the peace of mind by being prepared will give you one less thing to worry about in the event of an emergency.
