Farnoosh Torabi is a women talking about money in a male-dominated field. She is an award-winning financial strategist, TV host and bestselling author.  She shares strategies and stores from top business minds and authors and how they mastered money. Her interviews reveal financial philosophies, lessons learned, habits, guilty-pleasures and big-picture wins, no coupon clipping advice here.
Torabi leaves us feeling empowered and inspired by wins and failures, with applicable advice. We love her listener Q&A segments. Find the podcast here.
Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way To Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones By James Clear is our current book pick. "Success is the product of daily habits - not once-in-a-lifetime transformations." Clear leads us on a journey of hope to change our bad habits and cement the good ones, one little step at a time.
This book sheds light on the idea of treating your self-improvement the same way we look at compound interest. Small (not large, unattainable goals) can really add up to big changes. While it isn't sexy, it actually works. Humans just normally get bored before letting it work. The problem is in the system, not the actually goal.
Firefly Lane (based on the bestselling novel by Kristin Hannah), shares the incredible story of Tully & Kate. Inseparable friends, we are taken on journey spanning 30 years full of remarkable ups and downs. Stunning performance by Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke are the icing on the cake. Bring the tissues (and a glass of wine). You'll be ready to call your bestie the second it's over. Find it on Netflix.
We hope you enjoyed this week's Rise & Grind. Share your current favs with us on our social media! We can't wait to hear what you think!
